Jesus changes everything.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17

Jesus loves you. plain and simple, He LOVES YOU! and he longs for relationship with you.

if you’ve read the blog you’ve noticed already that there is a common theme. everything I write points back to Jesus. but who is he? who is this man that has changed my life?

to me, he’s faithful. he’s the solid rock that I have placed all of my hope in. when life is hard, messy, scary, or when i’m discouraged, he’s the one that I turn to for help. he’s where my help comes from. on the flip side, when life is great, when things are going well, when i’m joyful and excited about what’s going on around me, I thank him because I know that all good things come from him. he’s my savior and also my friend.

Jesus says “I am the way the truth and the life. no one comes to the father except through me.” John 14:6

if you’ve found yourself thinking “there’s got to be more to life than this.” I assure you, there is. Jesus came, so that you may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10.) Jesus came to bring us hope and give us purpose.

if you don’t yet know Jesus as your savior and redeemer, and you’d like to accept him as such, here’s what he asks of us.

  1. turn from our sin, and repent.

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and praying seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 chronicles 7:14

salvation requires us to turn from our sin/earthly desires. the things that the world says are just fine, but we know in our spirit are wrong. this takes humility, and honesty. take a moment to examine your heart, and you life and ask God to lead you closer to him.

  2. acknowledge him as lord and savior.

no one gets to the father except through Jesus. acknowledging him as Lord and Savior means believing that Jesus came to earth, died for your sins and rose again on the third day. even if the only sinner in all the world was you, he would have gone to the cross so that you could experience relationship and eternity with him. if there is hesitation in your heart to believe those things, I challenge you to pray and ask God to reveal himself to you in a way that only he can.

if you’re ready to take the next step and to make Jesus your Jesus. pray with me.

Jesus, thank you for the gift of eternal life through the cross. thank you for dying for my sins, and proving that you are the one true God by rising again on the third day. I pray that you would forgive me for what i’ve done to separate myself from you. today I choose to repent and give my life to you. give me the strength to live for, and serve you all the days of my life.

in Jesus name,

amen.

CONGRATULATIONS! and welcome to the family!
